City of Big Lake issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
Property owners in Big Lake are required to clear the public sidewalks adjacent to their property within 24 hours of the end of snowfall. Due to the holiday weekend, residents are being given extra time to comply with the ordinance.
The City is tentatively planning to send out its contractor to “sweep” the sidewalk system on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 8 a.m. He will clear any sidewalks found to be out of compliance with the ordinance and the property owner will be charged a fee.
