CITY OF PAYNESVILLE: Stearns County Small Business and Non-Profit Relief Program

Openforbusiness

City of Paynesville issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.

Governor Walz and the State of Minnesota approved the CARES Act allocation to local governments in June of this year. Stearns County received over $19.3 million and some local governments will receive their own individual allocation.

Utilizing that funding Stearns County created a program to provide relief to businesses and non-profits that experienced interruption due to required closures as a result of the public health emergency. Relief payments will range from $500 to $7,500 based on eligible expenses.

Below is the link to the CARES Act Grant information, requirements and application on the County's website:

CARES Act Relief applications will be accepted through August 28, 2020

All submissions will be reviewed, and eligible expenses determined by September 4 with e-mail notification of result to follow.

Some Cities within the County are funding their own programs. Applications submitted within those Cities will be forwarded.
