Stearns County’s 25 coaches earned an average salary of $71,553 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the third highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Minnesota post-secondary schools during 2022.

Stearns County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Saint Cloud State University stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $109,660.

Male coaches of men's teams received $110,286 on average in Stearns County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $69,548.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
