Winter has arrived! Driving safely in winter weather can be challenging, even for the most experienced driver. Whether you or your loved ones are driving for work or leisure, prepare to make it safely through the winter – before the going gets tough!

Lisa Kons with the Minnesota Safety Council reviews safe winter driving topics such as skidding, black ice, following distance, and reaction time in a new Winter Driving webinar. This webinar is the perfect refresher for drivers at all skill levels. In addition, the Minnesota Safety Council offers quick tips for safe driving to help you confidently face winter roads.

• Avoid unnecessary travel

• If you must – leave early and allow time

• Slow down and drive for road conditions

• Increase your following distance

• Put away distractions

• Turn headlights on

• Buckle up
