Number of sex offenders living in Benton County remains at 2 in Q2

The population of registered sex offenders in Benton County remained unchanged from second quarter of 2024 to first quarter of 2024, with 2 offenders residing in the area, according to the Minnesota Public Registrant Search.

The Registry shows none of these sex offenders are sexual predators. In Minnesota, convicted predatory offenders also are subject to certain mandatory sentencing laws that are designed to minimize their chances of re-offend.

Minnesota legislation about sex offenders and predators is currently being evaluated and revised, such as if offenders with good behavior can be removed from the Registry.
