2021 has 4.8% of Stearns County residents unemployed

Stearns County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,284 people out of the 157,638 living in Stearns County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Stearns County has decreased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Stearns County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 84,591 people who had a job during that time, 291 were employed in the Armed Forces and 84,300 belonged to the civilian labor force.
