Sauk Centre Public School District students performance on MCA and MTAS in 2021-22 school year?

Sauk Centre Public School District ranked seventh in the Stearns County for test participation, with 544 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Sauk Centre Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 14% over the previous year.

Sauk Centre Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 40% in 2021-22 school year.

11th-grade students stood out with 18% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, fifth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 46% not meeting the expected standards.

Sauk Centre Public School District encompasses schools within Stearns County and has a main office in Sauk Centre.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
