How many Holdingford Public School District students took their MCA and MTAS Reading tests in 2021-22 school year?

Holdingford Public School District ranked seventh in the Stearns County for test participation, with 584 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Holdingford Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 4.5% over the previous year.

Holdingford Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 61% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 23% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, seventh grade students had the most room for improvement, with 34% not meeting the expected standards.

Holdingford Public School District encompasses schools within Stearns County and has a main office in Holdingford.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.
