Registered sex offenders: two living in Benton County in March

There was the same number of registered sex offenders living in Benton County in March compared to the previous month, according to the Minnesota Public Registrant Search.

There are two sex offenders registered in Benton County in March.

The Registry shows none of these sex offenders are sexual predators. In Minnesota, convicted predatory offenders also are subject to certain mandatory sentencing laws that are designed to minimize their chances to re-offend.

Minnesota legislation about sex offenders and predators is currently being evaluated and revised, such as if offenders with good behavior can be removed from the Registry.

Harold Eugene BealsCriminal sexual conduct in the first degreeHarold Beals engaged in sexual contact with a known female toddler and child on multiple occasions. Contact included sexual touching and penetration. Beals bound them on at least one occasion to gain compliance.
Demetris Leonardo DuncanCriminal sexual conduct in the first degreeDemetris Duncan engaged in sexual contact with an unknown adult female. Contact included penetration. Duncan gained access by entering her residence without permission while she was sleeping. Force and a weapon were used to gain compliance.
