City Of Elk River recently issued the following announcement.
The Elk River City Council will hold their first meeting of September on Tuesday, September 6 at 6:30.
Of note, the consent agenda includes the hiring to fill vacancies in facilities maintenance technician, senior communications coordinator and assistant facility supervisor positions and the acceptance of a donation of a pellet smoker/grill to the fire department. They will hold two public hearings to gather input for an easement vacation at 13569 Ranch road and an administrative subdivision for Beaudry Elk River.
General business includes the preliminary 2023 tax levy and budget meeting date. The final tax levy shall not exceed the preliminary levy. The EDA and HRA budget and tax levies will also be discussed and considered. They will continue consideration of an interim Hemp THC sale moratorium. Councilmembers will provide updates of all city commission activities before discussing a Hemp THC licensure ordinance in Work Session.
