City Of Elk River issued the following announcement on Apr. 22.
Heads up boaters! If you’re planning to head out on Lake Orono Monday, April 25 or Tuesday, April 26, be aware there will be intermittent closures of the launch for periods of 2-3 hours throughout those two days.
New Look Contracting, one of the construction companies responsible for the Orono Park enhancements, requires these closures for prep work and installation of an ADA accessible concrete walkway. These sporadic closures will only take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and weather depending they plan to have work in the launch area completed by the end of the day, Tuesday.
