CITY OF BIG LAKE: Vacancy on the Parks Advisory Committee

City of Big Lake issued the following announcement.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill one (1) upcoming opening on the Big Lake Parks Advisory Committee. The 3-year term 

for this seat will run from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023.  

The Parks Advisory Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month and is an advisory group to the City Council on all issues facing parks and trails including 

maintaining existing parks and trails, creating new parks and trails, helping staff create programming at parks, recommending developers either dedicate parkland or donate cash 

in lieu, etc. The Committee takes action on these issues and forwards that information to the City Council for final approval.

Any City resident interested in serving on the Parks Advisory Committee should submit a letter of interest that includes a description of the applicant’s employment and educational 

background which may be relevant to the position as well as their reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of the Big Lake parks and trails system.  Questions
