City of Paynesville issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
The health and well-being of our community and employees are our top priority. Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases we want to make sure all persons feel safe and we can remain open.
We would like to remind everyone of our drop box and mail in options. The DMV can process tab renewals, title transfers, and DNR transactions through the mail and by the City Water bill drop box. These transactions are processed and mailed out. If you choose to use these safe alternatives we ask that you include a phone number, mailing address, necessary insurance information and a signed blank check payable to Motor Vehicle 115, as prices vary. A copy of the check, receipt and the processed paperwork will be sent back to you.
We have just completed a week of the new MNDRIVE program which has gone fairly well. The state continues to work out some of the glitches. Transactions are taking longer and we appreciate your continued patience as we and the rest of the state navigate the new computer system.
