Dem. House candidate Tamara Calhoun lost her bid for the House District 14A to Republican incumbent Tama Theis who was fighting for re-election.
In a statement posted on her Facebook page, Calhoun showed gratitude to her supporters and family.
“Thank you for your warm-hearted wishes to me. I am blessed with family, friends and new people I have met along the campaign who care so much about our democracy. Please continue to speak up, stand up proud, hold your place in this system and be counted. Show your power; people-power!” She said.
Theis has held the seat since 2013.
