City of Holdingford issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Work on Main Street continues, the utility work has finished up, but the recent rains have made the second stage of main street more difficult with the road not drying. A geogrid to reinforce the soils will be used to move the subgrade and try to keep on schedule to finish the project. Xcel and Midco are busy with electrical work and moving lines for Main Street businesses; getting the curbing, sidewalks, and new street poles are in the works in making all things come together. The council refinanced one of our previous loans to finance the Main Street project. The lower interest rate we were able to lock in at saved us money.
