City of Becker issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
Ribbon Cutting Announcement! Becker's new Dog Park is opening Wednesday, September 9th. Join us for a fun (and socially distanced) event partnered with Girl Scout Troop 780. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will take place at 5:00pm and the gates will open. The Dog Park entrance is located at the north parking lot of City Park.
Troop 780 is on the final step of their Silver Award and will be collecting donations for local animal shelter "Ruff Start Rescue". They will have prepackaged "Puppy Chow and Dog Treats" available. Bring your dog, a donation and a big smile for the community kick-off of Becker's newest Parks & Rec amenity.
A big thank you to Parks & Recreation Commission, City Staff and our wonderful City Council for their support making this Dog Park a reality.
