86 percent of applicants to Saint Cloud State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Saint Cloud State University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Saint Cloud enrolled 13,928 students in fall 2018, including 12,128 in undergraduate and 1,800 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 13 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (70 percent) and Black or African American (7 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 5,415 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
