City of Becker issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
Sherburne County was awarded Outdoor Heritage Fund dollars through the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council. Management objectives are to restore the function of the diverse fire dependent plant communities unique to this park through invasive tree removal, forest canopy thinning, invasive species control and prescribed burning.
